Ahimsa & Vegan — together
Ahimsa (अहिंसा) is non-violence — the sacred refusal to harm beings through action, speech, commerce, or design. It is not weakness. It is the highest discipline: to live so that life around you may flourish.
Vegan living is the dietary and practical expression of that vow in the body. To refrain from eating, wearing, or funding the exploitation of animals is to remove a direct channel of harm from daily life. Plants, fungi, and mindful preparation can nourish us without requiring another being’s suffering.
This is not perfectionism — it is direction. Every meal is a chance to align appetite with compassion. The sutra below is offered for reflection: how awareness of diet shapes health, ethics, and the path toward liberation for all beings.
