The Vision

A full VR MMORPG where tabletop depth meets soulsborne weight — every portal a moral choice, every true name a key.

Souls combat

Weight, timing, stamina, poise, and consequence — every dodge earned.

D&D realtime

Abilities, spells, stats, and faction philosophy live in combat — not just bars.

Portals as ethics

Keys are contracts — shape, song, blood, or promise. The city remembers.

Consecration

GMs, players, and wizards decide canon. Official and player-created content coexist under ritual law.

VR + VQ future

When Imagine is perfected, Sigil becomes the cathedral we render in-engine.

Cross-planar social

Taverns, factions, and touts — the kriegstanz of belief made playable.

Magical Illuminated Doors

Choose your door. Forty-four portals — preview locales for in-game exploration. Arrow keys work when this section is visible.

The Fiend's Salute

Cross-planar tavern life — documented in Brix's Cage Tavern Crawl on Mimir. The Salute is our anchor UI showcase: quest boards, inventory, warrior stance, archmage weave.

"A body entering the Salute descends five steps—the windowsills in the taproom are at street level… A well-crafted warding circle on the inner side of every lintel sees [fiends] off most effectively."

The Infinite Spire

I. Why Sigil Floats

That most bizarre city — at the centre of the Multiverse, and at the same time some place outside it. Sigil hangs at the top of an infinite Spire at the centre of the Outlands, visible from anywhere on the plane but reachable only through portals the Lady permits. EldenSouls does not explain this paradox; it lets you live inside it. You will see the Spire from Excelsior's white walls and from the Hive's darkest alley. You will never climb to its summit — because it has none, only perspective.

"Sigil… floating at the top of an infinite Spire at the centre of the Outlands. It can be seen from anywhere on the plane, but it can only be reached through one of the portals created by its ruler, the Lady of Pain." — Source: Mimir.net — Sigil

II. The Cage as MMO Hub

Every MMO needs a hub that feels lived-in. Sigil already is one — six wards, countless portals, factions conducting the kriegstanz in whispers. Our design treats the city not as a menu lobby but as the game: touts sell truth and lies; the Fiend's Salute shelters bloods from fiends; gate towns on the Outlands ring offer sixteen philosophical thresholds. Players don't fast-travel — they contract with doors. Keys might be songs, shapes, memories, or blood. The Consecration system lets player-created portals enter canon when GMs and rights-holders agree — mirroring how the Lady once pruned fifty factions to fifteen.

Combat layers soulsborne timing onto D&D realtime: spellcasting during dodge windows, concentration checks when poise breaks, faction reputation gating quests in the Lady's Ward. VR is not cosmetic — it is how you learn to fear the Lady's shadow falling across a portal you shouldn't have opened.

"The closer you are to the Spire, the more the arcane weave is affected… Near the Spire, even the powers lose the ability to use magic." — Source: Mimir.net — Outlands (Jon Winter-Holt; canonwatch per Mimir)

III. What We Ask of Partners

We are not building a knockoff. We are asking stewards of these universes to sit at one table. Wizards — let D&D breathe in realtime with the weight FromSoftware perfected. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco — let the Tarnished walk planes beyond the Lands Between. Mimir — continue to be our in-world conscience, citing lore with the chain of attribution you already honor.

Until agreements exist, everything on this page is aspirational vision. Animisha Studios funds the Founding Circle; Sigil is the cathedral we intend to build when the doors open legally, ethically, and with the Lady's blessing — whatever that means for those brave enough to seek it.

"The Lady of Pain is, simply put, an icon representing the tone of the Planescape campaign. Enigmatic and untouchable, she embodies the cruel mystery of the planes." — Source: Mimir.net — FAQ

IV. The Climb Continues

Scroll is vision; engine is V-Quantum. Imagine renders the doors. Ahimsa gates the harm. When gameplay demos arrive, they will play here — beneath the Lady's gaze — not before. The Spire does not hurry. Neither do we.

Lady of Pain — iconic silhouette with floating blades

The Lady of Pain

Enigmatic. Untouchable. No stats — by design. Zeb Cook and Planescape's creators intended her to remain beyond reach.

"Not even she knows her true history, and most PS DMs think that's exactly the way she should stay."
